For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Processing of purchase requisition;
- carrying out procurement of Air tickets and follow-up on the same;
- preparing Local Purchase Orders / Local Service orders for timely authorization and dispatch to suppliers;
- Assisting users in preparing specifications;
- Inviting quotations;
- Participating in tender opening and evaluation;
- Carrying out market surveys and research;
- Participating in quotation opening and evaluation;
- Processing of purchase orders;
- Participating in inspection and acceptance of goods and services;
- Receiving of stores and taking them on charge;
- Recommending stores requisitions for issuing;
- Monitoring the movement of stores;
- Checking and verifying issue notes and invoices;
- Receiving and processing suppliers' invoices for payment;
- Preparing of periodic stores returns;
- Establishing appropriate reorder level;
- Preparing requisitions for stocks replenishment;
- Participating in stock taking and reconciliation of records;
- Guiding user departments in identifying stores and equipment for disposal;
- carrying out the direct Purchases of low value items;
- filing and maintaining procurement documents;
- Compiling and availing supporting documentations for payments.
- Person Specification
- For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Procurement/ Social Sciences / Purchasing /
- Commerce / Economics or related discipline;
- Certificate in Computer proficiency;
- Good communication skills.
- Compliance with chapter six of the constitution.
