For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

  1. Duties and Responsibilities:
  2. Processing of purchase requisition;
  3. carrying out procurement of Air tickets and follow-up on the same;
  4. preparing Local Purchase Orders / Local Service orders for timely authorization and dispatch to suppliers;
  5. Assisting users in preparing specifications;
  6. Inviting quotations;
  7. Participating in tender opening and evaluation;
  8. Carrying out market surveys and research;
  9. Participating in quotation opening and evaluation;
  10. Processing of purchase orders;
  11. Participating in inspection and acceptance of goods and services;
  12. Receiving of stores and taking them on charge;
  13. Recommending stores requisitions for issuing;
  14. Monitoring the movement of stores;
  15. Checking and verifying issue notes and invoices;
  16. Receiving and processing suppliers' invoices for payment;
  17. Preparing of periodic stores returns;
  18. Establishing appropriate reorder level;
  19. Preparing requisitions for stocks replenishment;
  20. Participating in stock taking and reconciliation of records;
  21. Guiding user departments in identifying stores and equipment for disposal;
  22. carrying out the direct Purchases of low value items;
  23. filing and maintaining procurement documents;
  24. Compiling and availing supporting documentations for payments.
  25. Person Specification
  26. For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:
  27. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Procurement/ Social Sciences / Purchasing /
  28. Commerce / Economics or related discipline;
  29. Certificate in Computer proficiency;
  30. Good communication skills.
  31. Compliance with chapter six of the constitution.
